It makes sense to keep your own equipment up to date. Being prepared for every eventuality, however, is less feasible.
publitec customers therefore rely on our proven rental equipment service for special requirements. And service is what we care about – starting with competent advice through to careful control of our rental equipment. Because only through continuous quality checks during the issue and return of our event technology, we can guarantee the greatest possible functional reliability and optimum performance for our entire rental range.
An important part of our internal quality management process is our quality control department, also called “GeKo” for short. Specially trained technicians guarantee through a careful testing system and detailed quality controls that our rental equipment is always in first-class condition. Our colleagues from the GeKo department also work hand in hand with our sales department and warehouse, enabling them to respond to your wishes with consistent quality, even at short notice.

Compliance with strict quality controls and the associated processes has top priority in our GeKo department. The testing processes include, among other things, checking our rental equipment for mechanical damage, restoring the equipment to its factory condition as well as careful cleaning and final sealing. Another responsibility of our GeKo team includes cleaning the data storage systems for data protection reasons, as well as checking software versions and, if necessary, installing updates.

Our quality control department has access to a separate projector test room, which can be completely darkened if required. This room is mainly used to carry out extensive functional tests and detailed analyses of our rental equipment. But also test setups or shoot outs, in which our colleagues inform themselves internally about differences between projectors and assess these live, are realized in our rehearsal room.

Quality Control

Our colleague Christian Dreißig is also the contact person for our apprentices in the field of event technology and provides them with technical support during the entire training period. Within their training as “event technology specialists”, our new apprentices learn, among other things, how to prepare events and to provide technical support. They must also know which devices and equipment are suitable and how to install and operate them.

Continuous quality controls for maximum functional reliability
This is how a quality control usually works with us:
- After rental, the device is first reset to the factory settings.
- Subsequently, the quality control procedure is carried out according to defined test procedures and internal standards. At the same time, the technical and visual condition of the device is evaluated and carefully recorded.
- Once the controls have been completed, a test report is generated. The report is then stored together with the device and at the same time in our system. This way, we can always rely on a flawless and complete documentation.
